Benefits of Seminar Participation

Those who cannot participate in our Ayurvedic Studies Program due to time or lifestyle constraints can participate as an alternative to the full program. Health Care Professionals can learn Ayurvedic methods to integrate into their existing practice

Students utilize the seminars to enrich their studies, focusing on subjects of personal interest, and to gain a more in-depth understanding of Ayurvedic principles introduced in the curriculum, but not examined thoroughly due to restricted class time.

Correspondence Course students or self-study students can augment their studies and focus on specific Ayurvedic topics. Prospective students often attend to meet our staff and confirm their decision to participate in ASP 1. These classes are a wonderful opportunity to learn more about Ayurveda while fulfilling professional requirements. Participants earn a Certificate of Completion, suitable for framing.

Ayurvedic Weekend Seminars

Weekend Seminars are designed to focus upon popular Ayurvedic themes. They are a mixture of popular interest and advanced Ayurvedic concepts. Vasant Lad's seminars are usually a mixture of some information that is given in the regular Ayurvedic Studies Program and additional information that is not. He generally offers four weekend seminars between January and May each year. The topics vary from year to year. Click on the link at the top of this page for our current schedule.

Weekend seminar programs at the Ayurvedic Institute generally follow a similar schedule. Please inquire about the particulars for any one specific program. Vasant Lad's Friday evening lecture is free and open to the general public. They are also broadcast LIVE online during the Friday evening lecture.

The weekend programs begin Friday evening at 7:00 and conclude around 9:00.

Saturday, the programs run from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM and from 3:00 to 6:00 PM.

Sunday there is a morning session from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM and the weekend programs end with the Sunday afternoon session from 2:00 to 4:00 PM.

This series of programs provides an opportunity for those who cannot move to Albuquerque for formal study, or who wish to study more in-depth on specific topics. They provide a focused study of topics that may have been introduced in the school year. Vasant Lad teaches this series of Summer Intensives in June and July each year, immediately following the Ayurvedic Studies Program. Click on our Event Calendar for the current schedule. Some workshops have limited seating, so please enroll early.
