Highly respected across the globe, The Ayurvedic Institute has been teaching Ayurveda in the Unites States since 1984.
Steeped in Vedic tradition, our Ayurvedic Studies Programs (ASP), now in their 35th year, are full-time immersive journeys into Ayurveda. After which graduates can begin their careers as healers – having completed both academic and clinical programs.
Ayurveda states that the purpose of life is to realize our true nature, and to express this in one’s daily life. Our Ayurvedic Studies Programs integrate the practical, philosophical, and spiritual insight of Ayurveda into professional training programs that support you in becoming an Ayurvedic professional capable of serving others in realizing their true nature and the expression of it in their daily life.
Ayurveda is the science of self-healing. Here, we recognize, that in order to support others in their healing, we must authentically engage in our own. Learn From A World-Renowned Ayurvedic Master
Vasant Lad, BAM&S, MASc, brings a wealth of classroom and practical experience to the United States. A native of India, he served for three years as Medical Director of the Ayurveda Hospital in Pune, India. He was Professor of Clinical Medicine at the Pune University College of Ayurvedic Medicine for 15 years.
The author of numerous books, Vasant Lad is respected throughout the world for his knowledge of Ayurveda. He has written 12 books on Ayurveda as well as hundreds of articles and other writings. With over 700,000 copies of his books in print in the US, his work has been translated into more than 20 languages.
