The heart of our Ayurveda practitioner program. Observe and assist Dr. Vasant Lad with panchakarma clients, pulse reading, palpation, and treatment protocols. Learn his distinct approach to assessment and formulation through direct apprenticeship. This is mastery through immersion.
See clients weekly under supervision. Present cases in Grand Rounds with Dr. Lad and senior practitioners. Track progress, refine protocols, and build clinical confidence through repetition and feedback. Master Ayurvedic pharmacology through rasadi panchakam. Design custom formulas, create herbal preparations, understand Latin binomials, dosing, contraindications, and government regulations. Mix formulas in our on-campus herbal pharmacy.
Learn therapeutic treatments for doshas and dhatus—indications, contraindications, oil selection, herbal pastes, proper draping, and client positioning. Hands-on practice builds proficiency in our Ayurveda classes.
Study all 107 marma points—locations, Sanskrit names, therapeutic actions, and relationships to elements, doshas, subdoshas, and anatomy. Practice Dr. Lad’s ten polarity holds sequence and design treatment protocols.
Deepen pulse reading skills through all seven layers. Consistent practice, direct feedback, and supervised assessment in clinic refine your diagnostic precision as an Ayurveda practitioner.
Master ashtavidya parikṣanam (eight-fold examination) applied to all body channels. Learn inspection, auscultation, palpation, percussion. Use clinical instruments. Understand normal vs. abnormal findings. Bridge Western and Ayurvedic diagnostic frameworks.

798 hours across one academic year (September through June) in full-time format. Three trimesters of intensive study with weekly clinic shifts, Gurukula sessions with Dr. Lad, and Grand Rounds case review as part of our comprehensive Ayurvedic studies programs.
Yes. Our curriculum meets AAC educational competencies. This is the best Ayurveda certification online and in-person program available. Graduates are eligible for the NAMA Certification Board’s Ayurvedic practitioner certification exam. Licensed by NC Board of Community Colleges. Yes. We’re authorized to enroll international students in our Ayurvedic studies programs. Same tuition and admission process as domestic students. We support you through the M-1 visa process.
